Female Catherisation

Overview

This flexible course is part of the Clinical Skills package but can also be completed as a standalone course.

4. Electrocardiograms (ECG)

The female catheterisation course will discuss the rationale for catheterisation, the female anatomy, types and benefits of catheterisation. It will provide understanding of the importance of aseptic non touch technique (ANTT), complications that can occur and how to manage these, infection control related to catheterisation, catheter attachment and positioning methods. Professional accountability and documentation.

They will equip you with the essential knowledge and skills to be a competent Nurse, Nursing Associate, Medi­cal Student, Operating Department Practitioner or Physician Associate

This Course will provide you with the theoretical principles that underpin the clinical skill of Catheterisation . To be a competent practitioner in this skill you must be assessed and deemed competent by an experienced registered practitioner in the clinical settings, who is trained, practising and proficient in this skill.

Qualifications Available

This course is eligible for 1.5hrs of CPD certification

The Clinical Skills Package is eligible for 7hrs of CPD certification, depending on level of engagement.
